Popular, local artist David Crighton has created this stunning High Park image to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Howard Memorial Gates.  Dedicated to John Howard in recognition of his gift of High Park, the gates on Parkside Drive at High Park Boulevard were officially opened on March 19, 1914.

The distinctive limestone and iron gates in the centre of the image are surrounded by other prominent High Park features, including Colborne Lodge, John Howard’s former residence, the Jamie Bell Adventure Playground and peacocks from the Zoo.
