Every summer Fort York National Historic Site comes to life and visitors are thrilled by the booming of the cannon, the firing of muskets, and the lively music of fife and drum.
These postcards capture some of the vibrant colour and excitement of the demonstrations performed by the Fort York Guard. The photos feature the uniforms that would have been worn by soldiers at Fort York circa 1815, including the Royal Regiment of Artillery and the Canadian Regiment of Fencibles Infantry.
